ADNOC Distribution Partners with Emerge to Power Abu Dhabi Stations with Solar Energy, Advancing Sustainability and Operational Efficiency

We are proud to announce that during the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference, #Emerge has signed a Landmark Solar Power Agreement with Etihad Rail to decarbonize their Ghuweifat terminal.

This innovative project will feature a 600 kWp solar PV installation and a 2.56 MWh battery energy storage system, generating up to 85% of the terminal’s electricity consumption. By reducing carbon emissions by over 8,500 tons, we are taking a significant step towards more sustainable infrastructure development in the region.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed AlYafei, CEO of Etihad Rail Infrastructure and Abdulaziz Alobaidli, Chairman of Emerge and COO Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), and witnessed by His Excellency Shadi Malak, CEO of Etihad Rail, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, and Luc Koechlin, CEO EDF Middle East.

We are proud to announce that #Emerge, in partnership with Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC), has officially broken ground on the largest solar PV plant in the Emirate of Sharjah!

This landmark 60MWp solar PV plant, located at SNOC’s Sajaa Gas Complex, will generate enough clean energy to offset 66,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, contributing to a more sustainable future for the region.

This project aligns perfectly with both SNOC’s commitment to decarbonization and the UAE’s ambitious Net-Zero 2050 strategy. By promoting renewable energy sources, this initiative represents a major step forward in the UAE’s transition towards a more sustainable future.

We are proud to announce our partnership with AJ Steel Pipes to install a 3MWp rooftop solar plant in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi! This project will significantly reduce environmental impact by offsetting over 2,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. The plant will generate more than 5,000MWh of clean electricity per year, providing AJ Steel with a stable, cost-effective source of energy. This project is a great example of how our zero-upfront-cost model helps our clients achieve long-term energy security with solar power and contribute to a more sustainable future.
